Joseph Smith: "After His resurrection He appeared as an angel to His disciples"
Joseph Smith considered a personage with a resurrected body of flesh and bone to be an "angel". This included Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ became a ministering spirit (while his body was lying in the supulchre) to the spirits in prison...After His resurrection He appeared as an angel to His disciples.[1]
